Commercial lots and HOA common ground are where Autana's snow work is heaviest, and it runs the same way our mowing accounts do: a set route, a crew that shows up whether or not anyone is watching, and salting that follows the plow so the lot is not just clear but safe to walk. Commercial and HOA work is part of what Autana treats as steady winter revenue and steady visibility, the same reason it is a priority category the rest of the year.

Residential snow blowing

Residential service covers drives and walkways with snow blowers rather than a plow blade, which keeps mulch beds, edging and grass along the drive from getting scraped up along with the snow. Salting comes after, so steps and walkways are not just cleared but safe underfoot for the people actually using them.

Seasonal contracts vs per-push

A seasonal contract locks in service for the whole winter at a set rate, so you are on the route automatically every time it snows enough to trigger a visit. Per-push service is billed by the storm, for properties that would rather pay only when snow actually falls. Which one makes sense depends on how much snow a typical Fort Wayne winter brings and how much certainty you want going into it. We will walk you through both when we quote the property.

How a snow event runs

3. Salt and de-ice after clearing

   Plowing or blowing gets the bulk of the snow off. Salting and de-icing come after, aimed at the spots that refreeze fastest: entrances, steps and shaded stretches that hold ice longer than open pavement.

4. Follow up if it keeps snowing

   A storm that keeps dropping snow gets a return pass rather than one visit and done. That is part of what a seasonal contract buys, and it is available per push as well if that is how a property wants to handle it.

Why winter is when Autana quotes patios

Patio, wall and fire pit work stops once the ground freezes, because frozen subgrade cannot be compacted properly. That does not mean the phone stops. Winter is exactly when the spring schedule fills, and April and May book up first.
